[Syracuse, NY, December 11]—Over the final weeks of November, visitors to the Salt City Market will have noticed a hand-painted mural featuring detailed designs of meats, fruits, cheeses, and crackers being created. The completion of this art piece in early December, created by local artist and muralist, Maria Vallese, marks She Fancy Grazing Co.’s official entry into the Salt City Market.

She Fancy quietly launched their menu on December 1st, beginning a two-week soft open with limited hours that allowed them to test the waters and give their staff hands-on practice before the grand opening.

“Our soft-opening experience has been amazing,” says Anna Sofer, owner of She Fancy. “When you’re in your own space, you’re kind of on an island and figuring it out yourself. Having the camaraderie of other vendors, and the experience they bring—it’s been really great.”

She Fancy Grazing Co. specializes in build-your-own charcuterie boards—nicknamed “Cutie Boards”—and artisanal sandwiches. Their menu is both locally sourced and seasonally influenced; their current December specials feature a hot honey whipped ricotta, blueberry goat cheese, Struffoli butter, and Sage Derby cheese.

Their sandwich menu has a litany of flavorful options: “The Basic B(LT),” with roasted garlic & herb butter, thick-cut bacon, heirloom tomato, and crispy lettuce; “The Summer Abroad,” with pistachio basil butter, heirloom tomato, garlic confit, burrata, arugula salad, balsamic drizzle, and extra virgin olive oil; “The Hot Nonna” with hot tomato oil, prosciutto, dry salami, pepperoni, whipped ricotta, pickled red onion, and garlic confit; “The No Fig Deal” with fig butter, brie, prosciutto, arugula salad, and stone ground mustard; and “The G.O.A.T.” with blueberry goat cheese, cheddar, pickled red onion, crisp apple, arugula salad, honey, and lemon zest.”
