About your Instructor: Sarah Simiele, owner and proprietor of The Curd Nerd, is an American Cheese Society Certified Cheese Professional (ACS CCP). Sarah has always had a love for cheese and discovered that it was her passion in college while pursuing her degree in Cell & Molecular Biology. After achieving her degree, she started honing her craft and in 2023 won The Cheesemonger Invitational, achieving this title against 38 competitors from all over the country. In 2021, she and her partner decided Syracuse needed a cut-to-order cheese shop and started the endeavor to open The Curd Nerd. The shop has been open since March of 2022.
